Writer. Artist. Human.
Hello, and thank you for your interest in my work.
I am an author and artist who enjoys deep dives into a variety of subjects. Adopted from South Korea, I grew up in Aurora, Colorado. Yes, that Aurora. And that one.
I hold undergraduate degrees in Art and Computer Science from the University of Denver and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon. My career has ranged from nonprofit leadership to Wall Street, but my time outside the office has always focused on creative expression and connecting with others.
After undergoing cancer treatment in 2022, I experienced a powerful shift in my priorities. I realized that I wanted indelible evidence of my participation in the human race. This eventually led me to focus full-time on my artistic practices. I use sculpture for collective, primal expression and writing for nuance and precision.
Across disciplines, I explore themes of identity, belonging, and searching for the meaning of life. My style aims to be accessible, insightful, and honest. I’m working to build a body of work that inspires others and illuminates the deep connections between all of our experiences.
Currently based out of Hudson, NY, my home is wherever I’m with my partner, Dave, and my dog, Deco.
